PBHN Management Operations

The Permian Basin Healthcare Network (PBHN) is managed by a staff of two (2) full-time staff members and one (1) part-time member.  These staff members are employed by PBHN and Medical Center Hospital and are dedicated to accomplishing all of the operational requirements that keep the PBHN functioning as a cost-effective and member services-oriented organization.  This staff is charged with being responsible to the PBHN Board of Directors and responsive to its network providers, its payers, its directly contracted employers, and to the community; as well for maintaining a positive and open working relationship between the PBHN and Medical Center Hospital.

This staff position reports to the Chief Medical Officer of Medical Center Hospital and is directly responsible to the PBHN Board of Directors for fulfilling all financial, legal and operational obligations and needs.  Duties include PBHN staff management, network marketing to insurance payers and other purchasers of healthcare services including self-insured employers and insurance payers; newsletter publication and provider communications; providing continuing educational opportunities to providers and provider staff; financial management; and payer, patient and community relations.

This staff position is primarily responsible for maintaining PBHN’s provider data base and credentialing related activities; maintains financial records; performs membership billing; and coordinates and schedules PBHN meetings and educational events.

This staff position is primarily responsible for assisting PBHN member offices with billing and contractual issues and coordinates with payers to assure they are addressed in a timely manner. Serves as a reference source to physicians and contracted providers regarding our contracts.
